MIL-180TRM module (100base-TX to 100base-FX converter) 

The Fast Ethernet media conversion modules are a family of UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) to multi-mode fiber (MMF) or single-mode fiber (SMF) media converters for Fast Ethernet environments. When installed into the 9100X, these modules offer cost effective means to convert 100BASE-TX hub, switch or router ports to 100BASE-FX ports when needed. These modules are hot-swappable, meaning you can install and remove modules anytime without powering down the entire system. These modules feature the LinkSentry technology, which enables the module to alert devices attached to it when the link signal is lost on either side. Additionally, the devices may be configured to alert a device on the same port if the link is lost, such as in the case when one of the fibers in a pair or part of the UTP cable frays. The MIL-180TRM and MIL-180CRM are designed specifically for conversion from UTP to multi-mode fiber. The MIL-180TRM has an ST connector.
